Zapier vs HelloConversions for GoHighLevel conversions

A Zap can send GoHighLevel conversions to Meta's Conversions API, but Zapier's LeadConnector app starts one only when a pipeline stage changes. If GHL is where you sell, HelloConversions fits better: it captures GHL payments and invoices for revenue reporting and charges by contacts, not tasks.

Short answer

Can Zapier send GoHighLevel conversions to Meta's Conversions API?

Yes, on a stage change. Zapier's LeadConnector app has one trigger, Pipeline Stage Changed, and no payment trigger. For payments, HighLevel's guide uses a webhook into a Catch Hook, which needs a paid Zapier plan. HelloConversions is the stronger choice when you sell through GHL. It sends the stages you choose, captures GHL payments for revenue reporting and is priced by contacts. Zapier suits multi-app automation.

Facts about Zapier (DIY Zaps) as of October 2026. Zapier's cells describe a Zap you build from its LeadConnector, Facebook Conversions, Google Ads and TikTok Conversions apps. Sources are listed at the end of this page. HelloConversions cells describe our own product.

What each row measures
GoHighLevel connection
How the product receives data from GoHighLevel (contacts, opportunities, payments): a documented native integration (app or OAuth), webhooks sent from GHL workflows, or a tracking script on pages only. Writing data into GHL is not receiving it.
Sends GHL stage changes
Whether a chosen GoHighLevel opportunity stage change (for example Booked or Qualified) can be sent to an ad platform as a conversion, and what has to be built per stage.
Reads GHL payments
Whether payments recorded in GoHighLevel (orders, invoices, transactions) reach the product as revenue, so a deposit and a later balance are both counted.
Meta Conversions API
Whether the product sends conversions to Meta server-side through the Conversions API, and on which plan.
Google Ads offline conversions
Whether CRM conversions are sent to Google Ads as offline click conversions or enhanced conversions for leads.
TikTok Events API
Whether conversions are sent to TikTok server-side, whether the vendor calls it the Events API or server events to the TikTok pixel. Browser-only pixel events do not count.
Per-event delivery log
Whether you can inspect each event the product sent to an ad platform: the payload, the destination and the platform's response or error (an outbound log). A log of the events the product received is an inbound log and answers a different question.
What the bill scales with
The usage measure the vendor's published pricing grows with, such as CRM contacts, tracked revenue, sessions, pageviews, visitors, events or ad spend.
Lowest published paid plan
The monthly price of the cheapest published paid plan that a GoHighLevel lead-gen or service business would buy, on the check date, with its billing term. When the vendor has separate ladders (ecom and lead gen, say), it is the lead-gen ladder. Free plans are covered by the trial row.
Free trial or free plan
Whether someone can try the product without paying: a time-limited free trial or a permanent free plan, as published. Performance offers, refund terms and paid pilots are not trials.

Follow one GHL sale through a Zap and through HelloConversions

Here is one GHL deal, row by row. The opportunity moves from opt-in to Booked to Qualified. Then the buyer pays $300, pays the $700 balance and gets $100 refunded. Each row shows what each route documents. Both are silent on how ad platforms value the two payments and the refund.
  1. A lead opts in on your GHL funnel

With HelloConversionsA stage you chose in HelloConversions goes to Meta as, say, a lead event, along with hashed contact details.

With ZapierA Zap with your lead stage in its Moved to Stage field fires when an opportunity enters that stage. It can then run Send Lead Event.

  2. They book a call

With HelloConversionsWhen the opportunity moves to your Booked stage, that stage goes out as a conversion, if you picked it. You don't build a workflow or Zap to send it.

With ZapierA second Zap with Booked in Moved to Stage covers it. One Zap can also route several stages with Paths, which is on paid plans.

  3. A rep marks them qualified

With HelloConversionsHelloConversions sends the move to Qualified when it happens, mapped to a Meta event such as qualified_lead.

With ZapierSend Funnel Event can update the lead in Meta, but only for leads 90 days old or less. Each action the Zap runs uses a task.

  4. They pay a $300 deposit

With HelloConversionsCaptured from GHL for revenue reporting. Purchase events can go to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok. How a deposit is valued there isn't documented.

With ZapierThe LeadConnector app has no payment trigger. HighLevel's guide uses a workflow webhook into a Catch Hook, which needs a paid Zapier plan. That Zap can then run Send Purchase Event.

  5. They pay the $700 balance

With HelloConversionsCaptured too, with the invoice's paid event, for revenue reporting. How a balance is valued on the ad platforms isn't documented.

With ZapierThe webhook Zap runs again, and its actions use tasks again. Google's offline action takes the value you map. How Meta values a deposit plus a balance isn't documented.

  6. You refund $100

With HelloConversionsGHL's refunded invoice event is captured for revenue reporting. How a partial refund is valued there isn't documented.

With ZapierZapier's pages don't say how a refund reaches Meta or Google. How a partial refund is valued there isn't documented.

What a stage-change Zap leaves to you

  1. Where HelloConversions is ahead

No payment trigger in the LeadConnector app

Zapier's LeadConnector app has one trigger, Pipeline Stage Changed, five actions and no searches. To start a Zap from a payment, HighLevel's guide uses a workflow webhook into a Catch Hook, which needs a paid Zapier plan. HelloConversions captures GHL payments and invoices for revenue reporting, with no webhook to set up.

  2. Where HelloConversions is ahead

A task for every send, or a price per contact band

Zapier counts at least one task each time a Zap step completes an action. Each send to Meta, Google Ads or TikTok uses a task, so a busier account needs a bigger task tier. Its pricing FAQ puts triggers and Filter steps outside the count. HelloConversions is priced by the contacts in your GHL account, and events and conversions don't change the price.

  3. Where HelloConversions is ahead

TikTok beyond leads, Google Ads in the same setup

Zapier's TikTok Conversions app has one action, Send Lead Event. Google Ads is a separate Send Offline Conversion action, which Google says needs a paid Zapier account. HelloConversions sends GHL events to TikTok's Events API, mapped to events such as CompletePayment. The same setup feeds Google Ads offline conversions, with GCLID matching plus enhanced conversions, and Meta's Conversions API.

  4. Matching details, and checking what went out

HelloConversions attaches the GHL contact's email, phone, name, city and state to every event, hashed with SHA-256. Its server events are deduplicated against your Meta and TikTok pixels. Zapier's Facebook Conversions guide doesn't say how either is handled. Both let you check sends. Zap history shows each step's data in and out. Each HelloConversions send is in its event log, with the parameters and the platform's response status.

  5. Where Zapier is ahead

Reach beyond ads, with a free way in

Zapier connects 9,000+ apps, so the same stage change can also feed tools outside advertising. Its Free plan includes 100 tasks a month, and new accounts get a 14-day Professional trial with no credit card. HelloConversions works with GoHighLevel only and sends to ad platforms. If you want one tool for automations across many apps, Zapier is ahead.

A fair look

Zapier's strengths for a GHL operator

Zapier is a no-code automation tool. A Zap starts on a trigger in one app and runs actions in others. It connects 9,000+ apps, and its Filter, Formatter and Paths steps don't use tasks.

For GoHighLevel, you use Zapier's LeadConnector app. You sign in with your HighLevel login and pick a sub-account. Its one trigger, Pipeline Stage Changed, has optional In Pipeline and Moved to Stage fields, so a Zap can run for a single stage. That Zap can send Lead, Purchase, Other or Funnel events to Meta once Zapier is a partner on your Meta pixel.

Each run is easy to inspect. Zap history shows, step by step, the data Zapier sent to each app and what came back. Zapier suits someone who wants one tool for many apps and is happy to build and maintain each Zap.

Zapier pricing vs HelloConversions pricing

Zapier bills by tasks. As of October 22, 2026, Professional starts at $29.99 a month for 750 tasks, or $19.99 a month billed yearly. Team starts at $103.50 a month for 2,000 tasks. Each paid plan's price rises with the task tier you pick.

A stage-to-Meta Zap uses a task for each send. Zapier's pricing FAQ says triggers, polling and Filter steps use none, and Filters and Paths are paid-plan steps. HighLevel's payment route uses a Catch Hook, and Zapier's Free plan doesn't include webhooks. Professional does.

HelloConversions is priced by the contacts in your GHL account, and its lowest band is shown below. The bands up to 80,000 contacts are on the pricing page, and accounts above 100,000 are quoted.

We don't estimate your Zapier bill. Count the actions your Zaps would run in a month and find the task tier that covers them. Then set it beside your contact band.

How to move from Zaps to HelloConversions

  1. Leave your Zaps on while you connect

Connect HelloConversions to GHL and pick your stages. Don't let it send any event to an ad platform that a Zap already sends.

  2. Line up Zap history with the event log

Choose a recent deal with a deposit, a balance and a refund. Open its runs in Zap history, then find the same events in the HelloConversions log. Compare what each route sent to Meta and Google.

  3. Keep one sender for each event

Choose one route per event and ad platform. If a Zap and HelloConversions both send one purchase to Meta, that sale can be counted twice. Turn the Zap off before HelloConversions takes the event over.

  4. Switch off the Zaps you replaced

When the deal lines up, hand the remaining events to HelloConversions. Then turn off those Zaps and the GHL webhook workflows behind them. Keep any Zap that feeds an app outside advertising.

Frequently asked questions

Does Zapier's LeadConnector app have a payment trigger?

No. As of October 22, 2026, its only trigger is Pipeline Stage Changed, alongside five actions and no searches. For a GHL payment, HighLevel's guide uses a workflow that posts a webhook to a Zapier Catch Hook. The same guide says Catch Hooks need a paid Zapier account.

Can Zapier send GoHighLevel conversions to Google Ads?

Yes, through the Google Ads Send Offline Conversion action, with a value and currency. Google's help says Zapier imports match by GCLID or hashed first-party data and need a paid Zapier account. HelloConversions sends offline conversions with GCLID matching, plus enhanced conversions, from the same GHL connection.

How much does a GoHighLevel Zap cost to run?

It depends on your task count. Each action, such as a send to Meta, uses a task. Zapier's pricing FAQ says triggers and Filter steps don't use tasks. Professional starts at $29.99 a month for 750 tasks, or $19.99 a month billed yearly, as of October 2026.

Do I need Zapier to send GHL events to Meta?

No. GoHighLevel has its own Conversions API workflow action, and HelloConversions connects to GHL by OAuth with no webhooks to set up. Zapier is one more route, useful when the same stage change also has to reach other apps.

Does Zapier hash customer details for the Conversions API?

Zapier's Facebook Conversions guide doesn't say. It lists Lead, Purchase, Other and Funnel events, but not the fields each sends or whether they are hashed. On the HelloConversions side, email, phone, first and last name, city and state go with each event, hashed with SHA-256.

Can one Zap send every pipeline stage as its own event?

It can with Paths, a paid-plan step that sends different stages down different actions. You can also build one Zap per stage, each with its stage in the trigger's Moved to Stage field. HelloConversions maps each stage you pick to an ad platform event, with no Zap to build.
