What each row measures
What the bill scales with
The usage measure the vendor's published pricing grows with, such as CRM contacts, tracked revenue, sessions, pageviews, visitors, events or ad spend.
Lowest published paid plan
The monthly price of the cheapest published paid plan that a GoHighLevel lead-gen or service business would buy, on the check date, with its billing term. When the vendor has separate ladders (ecom and lead gen, say), it is the lead-gen ladder. Free plans are covered by the trial row.
Free trial or free plan
Whether someone can try the product without paying: a time-limited free trial or a permanent free plan, as published. Performance offers, refund terms and paid pilots are not trials.
GoHighLevel connection
How the product receives data from GoHighLevel (contacts, opportunities, payments): a documented native integration (app or OAuth), webhooks sent from GHL workflows, or a tracking script on pages only. Writing data into GHL is not receiving it.
Sends GHL stage changes
Whether a chosen GoHighLevel opportunity stage change (for example Booked or Qualified) can be sent to an ad platform as a conversion, and what has to be built per stage.
Reads GHL payments
Whether payments recorded in GoHighLevel (orders, invoices, transactions) reach the product as revenue, so a deposit and a later balance are both counted.
Meta Conversions API
Whether the product sends conversions to Meta server-side through the Conversions API, and on which plan.
Google Ads offline conversions
Whether CRM conversions are sent to Google Ads as offline click conversions or enhanced conversions for leads.
Choice of attribution model
Whether reports can credit sales to campaigns under more than one documented model (for example first click, last click, linear).
Revenue against ad spend
Whether the product reports collected revenue next to ad spend from its own data, and at which level: the account total, campaign, ad (ad set and ad) or creative.

What Ruler and HelloConversions each document for one GHL sale

Take a lead who fills in your GHL form, books a call and is marked Qualified. They pay a $300 deposit and the $700 balance, then get $100 back. Each row is what that vendor's own pages say happens.
  1. The lead fills in a GHL form

With HelloConversionsHelloConversions captures the form submission. It can go to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok as a Lead event, with the contact's details hashed.

With RulerRuler's GHL forms guide puts its script on every page. It can't read a form inside an iframe, so the guide redirects to a thank-you page with the email in the URL. A capture script there records the lead.

  2. They phone in, or book a call

With HelloConversionsPicked Booked as a stage? The move goes out when the opportunity reaches it, with no GHL workflow or webhook to build.

With RulerRuler's dynamic call tracking attributes a phone call to its source. Its Google Ads sync can send new calls as a Ruler Phone Call conversion. If the booking moves the GHL opportunity, Ruler reads the new stage.

  3. A rep moves them to Qualified

With HelloConversionsIf Qualified is on your list, the move is sent as it happens. It can arrive as qualified_lead in Meta, Contact in TikTok and an offline conversion in Google Ads.

With RulerBy default, the Google Ads sync sends stage changes as one Ruler Opportunity conversion. To send Qualified as its own event, the guide says to ask your account manager to update your configuration.

  4. They pay a $300 deposit

With HelloConversionsThe $300 is captured as a GHL payment for revenue reporting. Purchase events can go to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok. How a deposit is valued there isn't documented.

With RulerRuler's GHL page credits each won deal's revenue and doesn't mention GHL payments. Its Google Ads sync has a Ruler Revenue conversion. How a deposit is valued there isn't documented.

  5. They clear the $700 balance

With HelloConversionsGHL's paid invoice event is captured for revenue reporting, beside the deposit. Purchase events can go to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok. How a balance is valued there isn't documented.

With RulerThe GHL page names won-deal revenue, not payments, so ask Ruler which amount reaches Meta and Google Ads. How a balance is valued there isn't documented.

  6. You refund $100 of it

With HelloConversionsGHL's refund event on the invoice is captured for your revenue reports. Purchase events can go to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok. How a partial refund is valued there isn't documented.

With RulerRuler's GHL page and its Meta and Google Ads guides don't mention refunds. How a partial refund is valued there isn't documented.

Four edges for a GHL seller, and where Ruler goes deeper

  1. Where HelloConversions is ahead

Website visits or GHL contacts: what sets the bill

Ruler sizes its plans by monthly website visits. As of October 2026, Small is from $400 a month for up to 10k visits, billed monthly. Ruler calls these prices indicative, scaled by traffic and by product, data and integration needs. HelloConversions bills by GHL contact band instead. Sending more events or spending more on ads leaves that price where it is. Visits and contacts are different counts, so price both for your own account.

  2. Where HelloConversions is ahead

A trial with no demo booked first

You can start a HelloConversions free trial on your own. Ruler's pricing page publishes no trial or free plan. Its Get Started, Request a Demo and Book a Demo buttons all lead to a demo booking. A trial lets you check events from your own GHL account before any sales conversation.

  3. Where HelloConversions is ahead

Mapping stages yourself, or through your account manager

Ruler reads your GHL pipeline stages. By default, its Google Ads sync sends new opportunity stages as one conversion, Ruler Opportunity. For a separate event per stage, its guide says to ask your account manager to update your configuration. You still decide which stages count, and you can change them later through the account manager. Its Meta setup also runs through the account manager, who takes your dataset ID. In HelloConversions, you choose the pipeline stages to send, such as Booked and Qualified. Each goes to Meta, Google Ads and TikTok when the opportunity moves, with no GHL workflow or webhook to build.

  4. Where HelloConversions is ahead

Which revenue each tool documents from GHL

Ruler's GoHighLevel page credits the revenue of each won deal to the campaign that brought the lead. It doesn't mention GHL payments, invoices or orders. Its pricing page lists Stripe, Recurly, Chargebee and Xero as payment sources, but its docs have no guide for any of them. On the HelloConversions side, each GHL payment, subscription and invoice event, paid or refunded, feeds revenue reporting. The Marketing Efficiency dashboard then shows total sales next to your Meta and Google spend. If you take a deposit and a balance in GHL, ask Ruler which of them it sees. Neither tool documents how a deposit is valued for ad platforms.

  5. Where Ruler is ahead

Calls, chat, six models and Microsoft Ads

Ruler attributes calls, forms and live chat, with its own dynamic call tracking and links to third-party call trackers. Reports switch between six models, from first touch to data-driven with impressions. Data-driven and impression attribution start on the Medium plan, and Advanced adds marketing mix modelling. Campaign and creative reports sit beside imported Meta and Google Ads spend. It also sends offline conversions to Microsoft Advertising. HelloConversions documents no Microsoft integration, no dynamic call tracking and no choice of model, and it reports by UTM. A marketing team whose leads phone in across many channels gets the deeper view from Ruler.

A fair look

Ruler's buyer: marketing teams with calls, chat and forms to attribute

Ruler Analytics is marketing attribution software. It tracks forms, calls and live chat, matches each lead to its marketing touchpoints and credits CRM revenue back to campaigns. It runs its own dynamic call tracking, works with third-party call trackers and connects chat tools such as Drift and Intercom.

Its GoHighLevel page describes a two-way sync. Ruler reads your GHL opportunities and credits each won deal's revenue to the campaign behind it. It feeds that data to Facebook, Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising. It also writes more than 60 marketing variables onto GHL opportunities. Its Meta and Google Ads guides run the setup through your account manager.

Ruler is sold through a demo, with plans from up to 10k monthly visits to over 100k. Every plan includes white-glove onboarding and a dedicated CS manager. To us, that points to a mid-market marketing team that spends across many channels and takes a lot of leads by phone. To weigh it against other GHL tracking tools, start from the comparison hub.

Ruler Analytics pricing: four visit tiers, quoted as indicative

As of October 2026, Ruler's pricing page lists four plans in US dollars, each a From price billed monthly. Small is $400 a month for up to 10k visits. Medium is $668 for up to 50k, Large is $1,326 for up to 100k, and Advanced is $2,000 from 100k.

The page labels these prices indicative. They scale with your monthly traffic and with your product, data and integration requirements. Annual deals save 10%, which brings Small to $360 a month. The same page shows GBP and EUR prices, from £299 or €344 a month for Small, and mentions agency partner rates.

Medium adds data-driven and impression attribution. Advanced adds marketing mix modelling and two AI agents, an Analyst and a Media Planner.

On the HelloConversions side, your GHL contact band sets the price, and its lowest band is on the card below. Its published bands stop at 80,000 contacts, and accounts over 100,000 are priced by quote. To compare like with like, ask Ruler to price your real traffic, then set that next to your own contact band.

Taking over Ruler's GHL sends, one conversion action at a time

  1. Connect HelloConversions and brief your account manager

Authorize HelloConversions on the same GHL sub-account and choose your stages. Don't switch on any event Ruler is already sending. Tell your Ruler account manager what you're testing, since they hold your sync configuration.

  2. Put one deposit-and-balance deal side by side

Pick a recent deal with a deposit and a balance, and note the revenue Ruler credited to it. Compare that with the HelloConversions revenue reports. The per-event send log shows only the events you've switched on so far.

  3. Retire each Ruler conversion action before you replace it

Ruler creates its Google Ads conversion actions as Secondary by default, with names such as Ruler Opportunity and Ruler Revenue. Check which ones you made Primary. Two tools reporting the same sale to Google Ads would count it twice.

  4. Keep call tracking if phones drive your leads

If phone leads matter to you, Ruler's dynamic call tracking may be worth keeping. Ask your account manager to stop only the Meta and Google Ads sends that HelloConversions now owns.

Frequently asked questions

What does Ruler's GoHighLevel sync read and write back?

It pulls in your GHL pipeline opportunities and ties the revenue from each won deal to the campaign that started it. It also writes more than 60 marketing variables, such as first and last click source, landing page and keyword, onto GHL opportunities. Its page doesn't say how the connection is made, so ask Ruler.

Why does Ruler Analytics call its prices indicative?

Ruler says its prices scale with your monthly traffic and with product, data and integration requirements. As of October 2026, in USD, Small is from $400 a month for up to 10k visits. Medium is from $668, Large from $1,326 and Advanced from $2,000. GBP and EUR prices are published too.

Do I have to book a demo to buy Ruler Analytics?

As published, yes. Ruler's pricing page sends Get Started to the same demo booking as its demo buttons, and it lists no free trial or free plan. With HelloConversions, you can start a free trial on your own.

Who decides which GHL stages Ruler sends to Google Ads?

You tell Ruler, and your account manager updates the configuration. By default, the sync sends stage changes as one Ruler Opportunity conversion. Ruler's guide says to ask your account manager for one event per stage. In HelloConversions, you pick the stages and each maps to its own ad platform event.

Does Ruler Analytics track phone calls?

Yes. Ruler has its own dynamic call tracking and integrates with third-party call tracking providers. Its Google Ads sync can send new calls as a Ruler Phone Call conversion. HelloConversions documents no dynamic call tracking, so a call tracker still has a job if phone leads matter to you.

Is Ruler's TikTok revenue sync documented?

Its TikTok page describes it, but its docs don't show how it works. The page says Ruler sends revenue to TikTok using the ttclid click ID. Its TikTok Ads doc covers URL tagging, while its Google, Meta and Microsoft guides cover sending conversions. Ask Ruler how revenue reaches TikTok. HelloConversions sends GHL events to TikTok's Events API.
